it’s my birthday & I’ll celebrate it with a hula hoop cake if I want to

belated upload as my birthday was 6 weeks ago but thought I’d upload it in the name of Oscar’s investigation into baking entries. and why not offer the my most cursed creation to date, fair foodlio users? after all, this was the most basic, bog standard chocolate cake. so basic I believe it was whatever came up first on Google (probs BBC good food if you’re actually curious). In fact, such a basic and boring cake that I didn’t even try it. who the fuck eats chocolate cake???? but you know what isn’t basic or boring? hula hoops. specifically, salted big hoops. and my god, they taste even better in this quantity, with flecks of chocolate icing attached. if you wanna recreate this, I don’t care what goes into the cake. just make sure you don’t underestimate the number of packets of hulas required to decorate it
